Kallel (BR) - Ice Ice Baby [HOH257]

Some releases feel special before they even drop. This is one of them.

Back in April 2019, we featured a 10-year-old Brazilian producer on our Bang For Free series with the words 'quite a special one since this guy is only 10 years old and already on his way to making bangers.' That producer was Kallel. Fast forward to 2024, and he became the youngest artist in any edition to perform at Tomorrowland Brasil, a milestone that drew significant media attention across the country.

Now, seven years on from that first feature, Kallel is back on House Of Hustle with the Ice Ice Baby EP, and it feels like a proper moment. The lead track flips one of the most recognizable vocals in pop history, this time performed as a fresh cover, into a crisp modern tech house production that is already turning heads. Some big names, Gordo included, have already been rinsing it in their sets this year, and it is not hard to hear why. The b-side, Shake That Sh!t, keeps the same solid energy without letting up.

We spotted something in him at 10. Turns out we were right.
